EMGS 2023

The annual EMGS meeting, held in Chicago this year, was a great success for current and past members of the Opresko lab, as well as other GSP members. Mariarosaria presented a poster, “The processing of telomeric 8-oxoguanine by OGG1 and MUTYH glycosylases promotes cellular senescence”. Ryan Barnes, recent member and new faculty at KUMC, also attended and won the 2nd place award for Best New Investigator Platform for his talk, “ATR Prevents Mitotic Catastrophe Caused by Telomeric 8-oxo-Guanine Replication Stress”.
